FRANÇAIS
In French class, students are required to bring with them:
  • a binder (the same binder used for History/Geography)
  • pens and pencils
  • a ruler
  • lined paper
Some materials need to be kept in the classroom:
  • a lined notebook (preferably 80 pages for dictées and compositions)
  • a French Dictionary*
  • Bescherelle*
  • a French/English dictionary*

* Since each French Immersion Homeroom teacher is delivering their French programme to their own homeroom classes this year, we are strongly encouraging students to leave their dictionaries in their classrooms. Students must have their names on them and store them in the area of the classroom designated by their French teacher. We will be making frequent use of these resources during lessons and assignments. If students need to take them home for use with homework they may do so with the understanding that they return those items to class the next time they come to French. If carrying a dictionary back and forth from home is difficult and you have access to the Internet, you may visit the following websites (online dictionaries):
